Privacy policy
2Gang: DTF Gang Sheet Builder (“2Gang”, “the app”) is provided by the 2Gang team. This policy explains what the app collects when a merchant installs it and when the merchant’s customers use the gang sheet builder on the merchant’s Shopify store. Last updated: October 28, 2026.
Information we collect
From merchants
- Store information Shopify shares at install: the shop domain, an access token, the granted permissions (reading and writing files), and the staff account details Shopify includes with that token.
- Settings you create in the app: sheet sizes and presets, pricing rules, and art library entries.
From the merchant’s customers (storefront)
- Artwork files customers upload to build a gang sheet, and images the app derives from them (for example, background removed or upscaled versions). These files are stored in the merchant’s own Shopify Files.
- The gang sheet layout: positions, sizes, text the customer types into the builder (such as names and numbers) and the sheet size. When a customer adds a sheet to the cart, a summary and the sheet ID are saved as line item properties on the order in Shopify.
- The visitor’s IP address, used only in memory for a short time to limit abusive request rates. It is not stored.
The app does not ask for or store customers’ names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses or payment information. Checkout and payment are handled entirely by Shopify.
How we use information
- To run the builder, save and restore sheets, and produce print-ready files for the merchant.
- To show the merchant the sheets their customers created, inside the Shopify admin.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or use merchant or customer data to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Service providers
- Shopify, which stores uploaded files and processes orders.
- Our hosting and database provider, which runs the app.
- When the merchant enables AI image tools, the specific image a customer asks to edit is sent to the provider the merchant configured (remove.bg, Photoroom or Replicate) to remove its background or upscale it. Only the image is sent, without customer or store details.
Retention and deletion
- When a merchant uninstalls the app, their access token is deleted immediately.
- 48 hours after uninstall, Shopify asks us to erase the store’s data and we delete all of it from our database: settings, presets, pricing, art library entries, saved sheets and file records.
- Files in the merchant’s Shopify Files belong to the merchant and stay in their store until they delete them.
- Because the app stores no data linked to an identifiable customer, customer data requests and erasure requests sent through Shopify have no records to return or delete in our systems.
Your rights
Customers can exercise their privacy rights (access, correction, deletion) by contacting the store they bought from; Shopify forwards those requests to us. Merchants can contact us directly at the support contact on our Shopify App Store listing.
